Swim Coach:

The Orem Recreation Department is currently hiring for swim coaches. This is a part-time, non-benefited position with both year-round and summer work available, rotating between the outdoor SCERA Park Pools and the indoor Orem Family Fitness Center. Coaches may coach Jump into Summer Rec program and/or the Recreation Swim Team. This position will be responsible for instructing and coaching children ages 6-18 in the four competitive swim strokes, setting up and taking down equipment such as lane lines, diving blocks, timing equipment, flags, etc.
Must possess and maintain the Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches or
must obtain within 30 days of hire. (Possession of WSI certification covers this
requirement).Possession of a Swim Instructor certification preferred.
Possession of Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification preferred.
Requires knowledge of competitive swimming and the teaching of those skills to
children.

Ability to deal politely and efficiently with the public. Must be 18 years of age or older. Applicants must be in compliance with Recreation Department dress, personal appearance policy. Th successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and will be subject to random drug testing.

Shifts available Mon-Fri 7am-9am, 9am-12pm
